A chartered Civil Engineer and an Associate Director in Arup’s Infrastructure Advisory group, Juliet leads a diverse team of engineers, analysts, risk and climate specialists, delivering bespoke solutions to infrastructure clients requiring improved resilience of their systems.

Recent projects include advising Highways England on how to enhance the resilience of the strategic road network to geotechnical failures through improved hazard knowledge and response guidance.

Juliet also holds the role of Technical Director for the Resilience Shift, responsible for delivery across a portfolio of projects designed to enhance the resilience within and between critical infrastructure systems.

Specialities: Infrastructure resilience, systems thinking and interdependencies. Resilience of transport systems to climate and natural hazards. Geotechnical earthquake engineering (including earthquake hazard and risk; liquefaction; site response analysis; performance of structures subjected to earthquake-induced ground failure). Risk-based asset management (including technical risk assessments for infrastructure assets, proritisation of assets for renewal or intervention on a risk basis). Environmental Risk Assessments for infrastructure projects.
