Consulting Partner, Global Cyber Resilience Wipro

Kev is currently a Consulting Partner for Wipro Ltd, leading the consulting services for global cyber resilience and for the European Financial Sector SBU in the cybersecurity and risk services’ (CRS) team. He was previously a member of Grant Thornton LLP Cyber Security and Privacy team and was the firm's client service lead for cyber resilience and third party risk matters. Prior to that role he was with JP Morgan Chase bank as a third party risk lead for EMEA and as an information risk manager.

e has also worked as the resilience manager and information security group team leader for a large professional services firm. He was that firm's designated crisis management team leader and he led the firm's responses to crises, business disruptions, cyber breaches and information security incidents.

Prior to these roles, he was a police officer in the City of London Police, and he led the force contingency planning and Gold support teams. He represented the force in the London Emergency Services’ Liaison Panel (LESLP) and assisted with developing the major incident response plans for the capital. He also assisted in the design and delivery of contingency exercises and training, from table top through to live play levels, for both national and international audiences. He assisted with the responses to a number of terrorist incidents, complex emergencies and major incidents. He received ACPO level commendations for his knowledge and expertise in contingency planning and counter terrorism matters. He also owned BCM matters for the force and developed the first recognised BC programme for a blue light agency in the UK. Prior to this role, he held specialist roles in both the uniform and CID sections of the force.

He has assisted in developing national and international standards for crisis management, security management, business continuity, organizational resilience, cyber risk and resilience and he is currently the chair of the European standard's working group, which developed the recently published standard document on crisis management (BS CEN PD 17091). He was also the UK principal expert on security matters to the ISO Strategic Steering Group.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Continuity & Resilience Review, which is a peer reviewed academic journal. He is a frequent industry speaker and has had several relevant articles and papers published on the subjects of risk and resilience.

He holds an MSc from the University of Leicester in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management and his research dissertation was entitled “Isomorphic Learning in Business Continuity: A review of how the Lessons Identified were shared after the 7th July, 2005 terrorist incidents”.
