Risk and Crisis Management Leader
Rick is a leader and pioneer in Strategic Risks, Organisational Resilience and Crisis Management with over 30 years’ experience. He is a Partner at Deloitte and founded their Reputation, Crisis and Resilience practice.
He regularly provides strategic crisis leadership training and exercising for executives and boards and has supported senior executives in responding to crisis events. He has been appointed to conduct several high-profile post-crisis event reviews, including preparation of public reports for parliamentary select committee and has worked with regulators to develop contingency plans for existential crisis situations.
During his career he has led large-scale multi-party scenario exercises and overseen the programme of Games Readiness rehearsals for the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games. He has been interim Group Head of Resilience at two global banks and has worked with central government departments to enhance crisis response capabilities.
He is a recognised industry leader in his field and Chair of the British Standards Institution Technical Committee for Continuity and Resilience. He is currently providing expert input to a new standard on Emerging Risks.
