Tournament Operations Planning Project Management Specialist

Doha, Qatar / Full-Time

Basic information

• Contribute to the preparation of the stadiums and other sites’ operating plans; support and manage team’s contribution to the development of all tournament related documentation
• Support and participate in the planning & delivery of readiness and test eventsEffectively process, collect, maintain, monitor and disseminate data, information or reports for the team and department in line with business objectives
• Deliver efficient administrative support to ensure assigned project objectives are met and deadlines achieved across the team to ensure all the appropriate approvals have been attained and delivery of all projects / activities are on track
• Manage the office’s documentation and circulation of information to ensure it is properly tracked and managed
• Coordinate activities within Tournament Readiness divisions and other departments to ensure smooth implementation assigned processes, procedures and reports
• Support in the management of Procurement, Budget and Cashflow planning
• Build strong relationships within department, organisation and any other counterparts as required
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor directly related or relevant to the job
• Ensure the assigned responsibilities are delivered:
- - to a high standard of quality and timeliness
- - in full compliance with the SC Quality Policy and the Safety and Security rules and requirements
- - in line with any standards and objectives designated in the Employee Performance Management system

Requirements

• 9+ years of proven track of professional experience
• Minimum experience of 8 years in a Project/Event management role
• Experience at any major sport event in operational and/or planning role is a plus
• Knowledge and experience of monitoring project and programme performance essential
• Excellent computer skills: MS Office – Powerpoint, advanced Excel, MS project and others
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent planning and organisational skills; high attention to details and accuracy
• Experience of working in the region and knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
• Knowledge of Arabic will be an added benefit
• Maintaining confidential and sensitive information
• Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, positive attitude and good behavioural skills, solution oriented approach and team player
